The Rab Phantom Jacket is an ultralight waterproof shell designed for scenarios where "gear weight directly impacts mobility," such as ultra-long distance running and thru-hiking. At 104.5g, it is among the lightest full-zip waterproof jackets.

The fabric features a 7D Pertex® Shield 2.5-layer construction.
Though extremely thin, it boasts a waterproof rating of 20,000mm and breathability of 20,000g/m²/24h, sufficient for unpredictable mountain weather. It mitigates the common weakness of lightweight rain gear, which is "waterproof but stuffy," achieving a balanced design for active wear.

The design philosophy is very clear—only essential functions are retained.
