Pork Miso Soup Porridge with Sansho and Seven Spices
Product Features
This "Tonjiru (Japanese pork and vegetable soup) porridge" is perfect for devouring when you're exhausted and your body craves calories. That said, as an MGL creation, it's definitely not your average dish.
We simmer root vegetables like onions, carrots, burdock, and potatoes into a rich, thick soup, then add plenty of pork slices to stew. The star, miso, is carefully selected: a flavorful blended miso (awase miso) with a rich umami depth from "Kato Heitaro Shoten," a brand personally connected to Chef Tajima. This, combined with bonito flakes, creates a sweet and savory soup base.
Imagine pouring this hot, tender pork and vegetable soup over freshly cooked white rice and gobbling it down. We deliberately omit any grainy texture so that this essence of umami can flow unimpeded, satisfying your stomach completely. Finally, sprinkle the accompanying aromatic "Kishu Sansho" for an irresistible kick… it's simply addictive.
While we set "Mount Tanzawa," our inspirational mountain base and near Kato Heitaro Shoten, as our location, Chef Tajima said, "Actually, this mountain represents everyone's familiar hometown mountain."
This pork and vegetable soup has a familiar Japanese flavor, yet with a hint of novelty.
No matter which mountain you are climbing, no matter how tired your body is, just smelling the aroma of miso and dashi will bring you comfort, re-energize you, help you regain your rhythm, and set off again.
I believe this is a warm product that can be everyone's "spiritual haven."
